The Notice about Points Adjustment of Garden Card Member

In order to provide you with more exclusive service, Okura Garden Hotel Shanghai, member hotel of Okura Hotels & Resorts in China, has joined the Garden Card -our own membership system- into “One Harmony” system launched by group since April 2013. However, starting from July 1, 2013, the Garden Card holders can only enjoy the F&B discount benefit and have no longer been able to accrue points on their Garden Card. It means the guests must show “One Harmony” card and Garden Card together for enjoying points and discount benefits. To avoid this complex procedure, we would like to ask our “One Harmony” members to choose Okura Garden Hotel Shanghai as “Premium Selection” hotel (hereinafter referred to as “PS”). Once you become the “One Harmony PS” card holders, you can enjoy not only the “One Harmony” benefits as always, but also other “PS” gifts including 10% F&B discount.

A letter of notice sent to you on May 20, 2013 announces that according to Garden Card rules, the points will remain valid till June 30, 2015 and the use of the cards will be ended on July 1, 2015. If you are the “One Harmony” member, please choose Okura Garden Hotel Shanghai as your “PS” hotel. If you are not our “One Harmony” member at present, please join the “One Harmony” first and choose Okura Garden Hotel Shanghai as your “PS” hotel to get the best privileges.

To ensure a successful merge the hotel will continue to offer you F&B discount. However, starting from July 1, 2013, you will no longer be able to accrue points on your old card. Please kindly present your new “One Harmony” card to our F&B staff for points accrual before you settle your bills.

According to Garden Card rules, the validity period of the points accrued is one year. However, in order to express our thanks to you for your long term support to Okura Garden Hotel, your points will remain valid till June 30, 2015, which means the validity period of your points will be extended from one year to three years. Starting today our system will only delete the points which were accumulated three years before.

Instructions for "Garden Card"

1. Application

a. Those who frequently visit Okura Garden Hotel Shanghai can apply for Garden Card through the recommendation of the managers or salesmen in the restaurants, bars and Mitsukoshi Shop. Cardholders themselves will own membership immediately.
b. Application will be submitted and approved by the hotel management.
c. Being a Garden Card member, you will be automatically upgraded to be member of the Okura Club International and enjoy all the benefits from the whole group. (For more details, please see the regulations of Okura Club International.) Your application for being a Garden Card member will be rejected if you are not willing to join the Okura Club International.
d. Membership is free of charge.
e. In case of damage or loss, please contact the Planning and Advertising Dept. immediately.

2. Gold Card

If a cardholder spends more than RMB50,000 within one year after issuing the card, an automatic upgrade to a Gold Card will occur.

3. Rights of Garden Card Members

a. Upon presenting the Garden Card during a purchase, cardholders are entitled to discounts.
b. Upon consumption in each restaurant and bar as well as Mitsukoshi, the cardholder is awarded with points. Awarded points can be exchanged into different kinds of prizes. (Please see the “Prize List” for your reference.)
c. Cardholders will be added to the hotel’s circulation lists for promotional material. (Cardholders should have consumption in the latest 6 months.)

4. Duties of Garden Card Members

a. Observe Okura Garden Hotel Shanghai’s regulations.
b. Observe “Garden Card” regulations.
c. The hotel reserves the right to deprive your membership and withdraw the card if you disobey the regulations.

5. Usage instructions

a. Validity
Garden Card is valid at Coffee Shop ROSE, Japanese Restaurant YAMAZATO, SAZANKA Teppanyaki, Chinese Restaurant BAIYULAN, French Restaurant CONTINENTAL ROOM, Cocktail Lounge OASIS, Main Bar YELAIXIANG, Wine & Cocktail Lounge SKY BAR and the Mitsukoshi Shop.
b. Cardholders are entitled to use Garden Card for up to 10 persons.
c. Payment conditions
1) Garden Card should be presented before consumption.
2) The payment should be done by cash, credit card or by signing the bill (for staying guests only).

6. Restrictions of Garden Card

Garden Card is not accessible to the following occasions:
a. Consumption in banquet rooms, rent fee of restaurants and bars and consumptions on drinks in Health Club are not entitled to Garden Card benefits.
b. If the cardholder were not the card owner, we would not offer membership discounts.
c. Membership discounts are not valid in combination with any other coupons or special discounts.
d. Discounts don’t apply to any settled bills or to any credit accounts.
e. Payment by bank transfer is not acceptable.
f. Discounts are applicable only when the Garden Card is handed over to hotel staff upon settling bill.

7. Expiration

a. The card will loose its validity and the card owner cannot apply again in the next year, if the consumption record linked to the usage of the Garden Card indicates a consumption of under RMB 5,000 in the year after issuing the card.
b. Gold card membership is valid for 3 years.

* Okura Garden Hotel Shanghai reserves the right to revise the Garden Card instructions without prior notice.

Benefits for cardholders

1. Ordinary cardholders are entitled to 10% discount on food and beverage consumptions in each restaurant and bar. (Discounts are not applicable to service charge.)
2. Ordinary cardholders are entitled to a 5% discount on purchases in the Mitsukoshi Shop (except for some commodities).
3. Gold cardholders are entitled to 15% discount on food and beverage consumptions in each restaurant and bar. (Discounts are not applicable to service charge.)
4. Gold cardholders are entitled to a 7% discount on purchases in the Mitsukoshi Shop (except for some commodities).

Earning points

1. For each spending in a restaurant, bar and the Mitsukoshi Shop, the cardholder is awarded with points. Awarded points can be exchanged into different kinds of prizes.
2. Ordinary cardholders earn 1 point for each RMB 100 spent on consumptions in each restaurant and bar.
3. Ordinary cardholders earn 1 point for each RMB 200 spent on consumptions in the Mitsukoshi Shop.
4. Gold cardholders earn 1 point for each RMB 50 spent on consumptions in each restaurant and bar.
5. Gold cardholders earn 1 point for each RMB 100 spent on consumptions in the Mitsukoshi Shop.
6. After deprivation of the Garden Card membership, the awarded points will loose their validity.
7. Awarded points are valid for 1 year.

Exchanging awarded points

1. Awarded Garden Card points can be exchanged into different kinds of prizes that are mentioned in the “Prize List”. After the termination of the Garden Card membership, the awarded points are valid for the next 6 months only.

10 points ---- One box of delicious home made chocolates
20 points ---- Dessert Buffet for one person
30 points ---- Complimentary Mitsukoshi coupon (RMB 100)
40 points ---- Complimentary Cake coupon
50 points ---- Complimentary Health Club coupon (excludes tennis court and massage service)
80 points ---- 2 bottles of house wine (red and white)
100 points --- “Rose Coffee Shop” family dinner buffet
200 points --- Dinner at “Bai Yu Lan” Chinese Restaurant, “Yamazato” Japanese Restaurant, “Sazanka” Teppanyaki or French Restaurant “Continental Room” for two persons
500 points --- Accommodation coupon (a stay of one night in a twin or double room with Rose Coffee Shop breakfast for two persons)
1000 points -- Accommodation coupon (a stay of one night in a Suite with Rose Coffee Shop breakfast for two persons)

Using your points

In order to use your awarded points you need to exchange them for an official hotel coupon.
1. Coupons can only be used in the Okura Garden Hotel Shanghai and cannot be used in combination with any other discount cards.
2. Coupons are not cash refundable.
3. Coupons should be used within the period that is mentioned on the coupon. When this period has expired, the coupon can no longer be used.
4. The hotel must be informed about your intention to use a coupon when you make your reservation.
